In4All partners stand in the gap for students
We have always valued the commitment of our school and business partners, but never more so than in 2020. When the schools moved to distance learning in the spring, our partners asked how we could adapt. When it became clear this fall would start off the same way, our partners worked to make sure our programs were ready. And when it came time to commit to the 2020-2021 school year, a vast majority signed up and a handful of new partners joined in. We are encouraged by you.
It starts with companies like Daimler Trucks North America, IBM and Vernier Software & Technology who helped us create STEM Connect and are entering the eighth year of their partnerships. Our focus on long-term partnerships has carried through to companies like First Tech and PGE who have been involved for more than five years now. More are poised to reach that milestone next year. It/s a wonderful testament to the dedication our business and school partners have for making an impact in their communities.
Welcoming six new partners
We are very fortunate in this challenging year to have six more companies partner with schools in our communities.
Autodesk brings its expertise in design, engineering and construction software to the students of Gilbert Height Elementary in SE Portland.
DW Fritz signed on in the spring to connect its advanced manufacturing experts with the students of Metzger Elementary.
Grummel Engineering is stepping in to partner with George Middle School to take eighth grade students through the design thinking process.
New Relic will represent the world of software development as they work with the eighth grade students of Ockley Green Middle School.
Nike will bring STEM Connnect to the students of Barnes Elementary School located just down the street from its Beaverton headquarters.
OnPoint Community Credit Union will be working with the students of Whitford Middle School to explore needs in their community using the design thinking model.
The new companies bring our total business partners to 27 who are sponsoring elementary and middle school programs this year. Together, we will impact the lives of thousands of students in the ten Oregon communities we currently serve.
Thank you, everyone, for being a part of the In4All Community! We are looking forward to working with you to create limitless possibilities for students in the 2020-2021 school year.
