Thriving with a little help from our friends
We are in the midst of our second year of program implementation during a global pandemic. This can make it difficult for us to remember to pause a moment and share gratitude with our community at large for the ways in which in-kind support and new partnerships and foundation financial commitments help us to continue to reach our goals!
Friends like …
IKEA! For two consecutive years, IKEA has provided the reusable bags, and now the boxes, that house our kits for deliveries to our schools.
Home Depot! Our 5th grade water filtration activity would not be possible without the sand, rocks, and gravel that Home Depot provided for our kits this year.
Oregon Biochar Solutions! Another key ingredient for the 5th grade activities comes from Oregon Biochar Solutions. Activated charcoal is critical to water filtration and our partnership with Oregon Biochar Solutions makes this an accessible resource for In4All.
And last, but certainly not least, new foundation partners like …
The Marie Lamfrom Foundation! We learned about Marie Lamfrom Foundation from our STEM community. After meeting with our amazing strategic partner, Keisha Olsen, we knew that this was a foundation that we would feel honored to receive support from. This award helps In4All close our program funding gaps for our schools.
A not-so-well known fact about In4All program funding - most of our corporate partners sponsor roughly 55 percent of our cost to implement programs at their partner schools. In4All works to close the remaining gap, or $3,500 per school, through the cultivation of new foundation partners like Marie Lamfrom Foundation and from gifts made through our Community Impact Circles.
In addition to managing the obstacles we are all facing during this pandemic, the In4All team is busy negotiating the many pivots that are required of us to meet the needs of our students, teachers and volunteers. We are aware of how the support from our community, like those listed above, enable us to focus more intently on program implementation and supporting our volunteers and teachers in making programs happen.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to these and our numerous corporate and foundation partners as well as the individuals who share their financial and other resources with us. Together, we will continue to connect and deepen opportunities for our students to imagine a future that is limitless!
