Portland Business Journal selects In4All as non-profit partner
We’re very excited to announce In4All was nominated by Portland General Electric and has been selected by the Portland Business Journal as a non-profit partner for 2022! The publication selected five non-profit partners that it will promote and help build throughout the year.
The PBJ forges partnerships with select non-profit organizations each year as a way to help them find backers and improve their philanthropic positions. The nonprofits, nominated by local companies and chosen by PBJ staffers, get to attend the publication's events, deploy free advertising throughout the year and publish columns in the PBJ print edition, among other benefits.
“The Portland Business Journal supports the non-profit community by helping many organizations increase their visibility and make connections,” said Elaine Charpentier Philippi, In4All Executive Director. “We’re excited for the opportunity to tell our story to more businesses in addition to getting to know the other non-profits that have been selected with us.”
Soon after learning about our selection, we participated in a meeting with the four other non-profit organizations and are proud to be a part of this group. They are all doing great work in our community and are worth getting to know. They are:
Equitable Giving Circle: Founded in 2020, EGC aims to make an economic impact in the local BIPOC community. Through its three branches of work — housing, food and wellness — it has served more than 25,000 community members in the Portland area.
Free Geek: Free Geek has been serving the Portland community for over two decades diverting technology that that would otherwise be recycled or thrown away, refurbishing it, and giving it back to the community.
PHAME: PHAME is a school of arts and performance located in NE Portland. Classes in musical theater, song writing, digital photography, poetry and other subjects give students an opportunity to perform in front of audiences in Portland and beyond.
Word is Bond: Founded in 2017, the goal of this organization is to create positive relationships between young Black men and law enforcement. Word is Bond serves men ages 16-21 with two programs: Rising Leaders, a rites-of-passage summer program, and Word Up, a leadership program during the school year.
We have already submitted print ads the PBJ will run during the year and are working on an article that should appear in the next few months. This is a great first step toward our goal of increasing visibility and expanding our reach in 2022. Thank you to our partner, PGE, for supporting us!
